Bacon and Cheese Buns
Term 3 school holidays started yesterday and my baking frenzy kicked off by baking Matthew’s favourite bacon and cheese buns. Here is the recipe:
Crumbed deep fried meatballs
I had 2 packs of minced pork and veal in the fridge but was not sure what to do with it. My husband suggested that I should make crumbed deep fried beef meatballs. Here is the recipe for it:
Mee Hoon Kueh
Mee Hoon Kueh literally means wheat flour cake. It is my favourite childhood dish. It brings back the sweet memory of myself helping my mother rolling out the dough with a glass F&N bottle instead of a rolling pin. It is a popular dish in Malaysia and Singapore. I will make sure that I have a bowl of mee hoon kueh whenever I am back in Malaysia. Here is the recipe for it:
Waffles made in Breville Waffle Maker
Over the weekend my husband made waffles with the help of our old and faithful Breville Waffle Maker. My boys love to eat waffles with butter and maple syrup for breakfast.
Chocolate Chips Shortbread Cookies
My son attempted to bake some shortbread cookies and it was really delicious. He added in some chocolate chips because he loves chocolates.
Ingredients:
90g of sugar
40g of cornflour
210g of butter
250g plain flour
A drop of vanilla essence
A handful of baking chocolate chips
Homemade Fried Chicken
For dinner tonight I made fried chicken for my boys. I made my own fried chicken coating in my thermomix. The coating contains all the natural herbs and spices. The best part is it does not contain any preservatives. Therefore, it is healthy to consume.
