Over the weekend my husband made waffles with the help of our old and faithful Breville Waffle Maker. My boys love to eat waffles with butter and maple syrup for breakfast.
Here is the recipe for the waffles:
Ingredients:
2 eggs
1.5 large cups of warmed milk
1/3 cup of melted butter or margarine
A dash of vanilla essence
2 large cups plain flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp malt extract ( can use honey too)
Methods:
First, beat the eggs and then pour the warmed milk into it.
Next, add the melted butter, malt and a dash of vanilla essence to it.
Pour the above mixture into the dry ingredients.
Whisk thoroughly with an electric mixer.
Finally, use a ladle and scoop the batter into a greased Breville waffle maker non-stick plate. Cook it until it is golden brown.
Serve with butter/margarine/ maple syrup/ whipped cream/ blueberries etc.
